Accessibility Everything you might need to know about our accessibilty procedures at BPTC Physical Accessibility at our Stations Our aim is to create an accessible service which is inclusive of all our customers and their needs. Easy-access buses Our entire network of buses has been designed to accommodate wheelchairs and passengers with restricted mobility. All buses have "kneeling" suspension with a low floor and wide doors to allow easy access. There are driver-operated ramp available for use at the entrance or center doors (on 2-door buses) – just ask the driver. Wheelchairs with a maximum width of 700mm, length of 1200mm and weight of no more than 350kg (combined weight of the chair and user) can be accommodated on our buses (batteries must be covered and in good condition). Wheelchairs must be positioned in the designated space with the brakes on, with the back of the chair against the backrest. A seatbelt is also available to secure the wheelchair. Wheelchair users have priority in this space. If required, our drivers will support in asking people to vacate the wheelchair space if a wheelchair user needs to board. Each bus has priority seating areas on board for those who require them. Terminals BPTC manages 3 bus terminals in Manama, Muharraq and Isa Town. All lanes within the terminal are accessible. All terminals have accessible toilets. Accessible waiting rooms are available at Muharraq and Isa Town Terminals. The retail offices are open from 06:00 until 21:00 daily. Staff are available to assist during opening hours. Driver-operated ramp for easy access to buses for wheelchairs, baby strollers and passengers with limited mobility. Prioritized wheelchair seating space for one person. Team available for assisted services if needed.
